Liverpool accommodation with small children

We are visiting friends in Liverpool and will probably try to book accommodation as we are probably pretty terrible guests at the moment 🙄
Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Somewhere like a youth hostel with access to kitchen or otherwise apartment. My friends live in Allerton, Smithdown and Lark Lane areas.

Aparthotels www.staycity.com/liverpool/duke-street/ have simple but nice 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Cot and high chair are available on request.
The YHA hostel in the centre also has cots available, family rooms and a self catering kitchen.

There is a shared kitchen on each floor. All rooms are serviced daily. Cots and high chairs are available.
