Moving from Solihull

Hi All
My husband got a job in Rotherham and we are looking to move near an area that's close but really good. My DS is 3 so need to move in an area that have good Schools.
Any idea how Barnsley is? And what is the best area in Barnsley.
Please help

Sorry forgot to mention was looking to move to Sheffield but it's too far ☹

Think you need to recheck maps. Rotherham to Sheffield is 8 miles and Rotherham to Barnsley is 12 miles. I would look towards Sheffield though it will be more expensive. Barnsley/Rotherham/Doncaster is not an area of outstanding beauty !
