St Ives or Perranporth?

We are about to book our first family holiday. Doing in through haven but not sure whether to go St Ives (Riviere Sands Park) or Perranporth (Perran Sands Park). Have trawled through trip advisor and still none the wiser so wondered if anyone here had any advice or local knowledge. We will have our 6 month old baby with us so want to be walking distance from the beach and somewhere there is an indoor swimming pool as he loves swimming !

Why not experience the beautiful Roseland peninsula. In fact more specifically why not stay at our lovely child friendly lodge in Portscatho nr St Mawes. Stunning beaches, gorgeous food and we have equipped our 'Gold Award' winning lodge with loads of toys, baby carrier, buggy as well as a heated indoor pool on site. Search 'Coast Lodge Portscatho holidays'. It really is a magical place!

I absolutely love Perranporth. We had our honeymoon there Smile. It's within easy reach of lots of wet-weather attractions if need be. We stayed in a hotel; for camping/caravanning I actually prefer the St Austell area as it's much more sheltered but still within easy reach of the beaches around Perranporth.

Also heartily recommend the Lizard Point region of Cornwall - we stayed at a lovely static caravan site last year with an indoor pool, family pub and games room.

Perranporth is much more central for getting around and lots of kids attractions nearby. St Ives is another 45 mins down and anywhere you want to visit will be back up in the mid area of the county

Perranporth. St Ives is really beautiful but parking is horrendous, and it’s a faff to get to other places for days out.
