Where's a nice place to stop for the night half way between Glasgow & Bedford?

We could possibly visit family in either Manchester or Yorkshire but maybe there's somewhere new we haven't been.

Could go either tbh, not too fussed. We used to do the journey in one day and have found the A1 a bit better but if we're stopping overnight then we're flexible.

Ds is 19 months now and think he'll be fed up doing it one day now. He used to be content with getting out for a feed and nappy change but is just a ball of energy now!

There's a holiday village in southerness just over the border, if you were maybe looking for an overnighter?

Harrogate was nice: we did an overnight there between Glasgow and London a year or so ago
