Recommendations for cornwall

Hi, just wondering if any one can recommend any where to stay in cornwall this summer. We want to take dc aged 4&6 somewhere where there is access to a pool and near the beach. We don't mind what type of accommodation. We've only been to cornwall once and stayed in a caravan park near St Ives. Not familiar with the area so any help would be happily received. Thanks!

We usually stay at a nice, independent holiday park in Hayle. It's right on the beach and has a pool on site. Different levels of accommodating for different budgets. We have only stayed in the seafront lodges but they are lovely.

Very easy to get into St Ives by train or car, or out to other parts of Cornwall.

Haven Rivière Sands in Hayle is fab it's right on a beach and has a nice pool and entertainment

It’s near St Austell, just along from Mevagissey which is just glorious. It has a little under cover swimming pool and a nice park. Just enough to keep kids of that age entertained.

Perranporth has a lovely beach with a pub right in the middle of it. It is ligeguarded too. I’m not sure on specific places to stay but we had a fantastic family holiday there last year.

We stay at Wringworthy cottages Looe. they have their own swimming pool which is heated, a big childrens barn and also farm animals. Looe is a great area of cornwall, we much prefer it as it is less busy than the north coast but there is still loads to do there. the beaches are less rough and more suited to younger children. You will need to get a shift on though if looking for school summer holidays as lots of the good places book out a year in advance (thanks to Mr Gove!) www.wringworthy.co.uk is their website.

Great, thanks for all the replies. I know I'm panicking a bit there's going to be no where left if we don't book soon. We were going to go abroad but it was getting a bit pricey so oh just suggested cornwall as we've only been the once. The dc are happy as long as they've got a bucket and spade and a bit of sand!

Bosinver. It’s well worth the ££. We’ve been three times.

Over £2,000 for a week for 4 in the school summer hols at Bosinver - blimey that's definitely £££ in my book. have you had a look at some of the late availability sites, Tiredmum100? If you do book somewhere it would be useful to know where so that I could have a quick look at it as well as we are going to be staying in the UK this year.

I know Bosinver is pricey. But it got amazing facilities. The accommodation is outstanding and spotless. It’s very personal service. I think it is good value for money.

St Ives Holiday Park in Hayle. Went there May half term 2016. Would definitely recommend!

Im attempting a cornish search too. 3 kids and a dog - hard to find room at the inn for our circus!
