A Cardiff question.

I’m taking my 84 year old mum to a St David’s Day concert in St David’s Hall, and am looking for suggestions for places to eat beforehand. It’s been years since I’ve been to Cardiff, and my mums mobility isn’t great so ideally somewhere close to the Hall, where we can eat about 5.30pm and not have to rush for a 7.30 performance.
She likes ‘gastro pub’ type food, but not keen on pizza or burgers. I’m not sure she’d like tapas either.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

If you don't get any decent suggestions on here then go to TripAdvisor and go on the Cardiff forum there. you can either search by question or you can ask your own question. the forum experts (usually people who live there) will have loads of great suggestions I am sure.

For ease, I'd suggest parking in St David's shopping centre and then eating nearby. In the shopping centre there's lots of choices. Possibly Cafe Rouge or Carluccios might be OK for your mum? Can't think of gastro pub in the main centre.

Thank you Mummymeister, I didn’t even think of that, and I have an account Blush
Both Carluccios and Cafe Rouge are good options Flippertyjibbit, especially if there would be little walking.

How about Bills, that is close to St David’s Hall and the food is always nice.
