Recommendations in Cornwall or devon

Hi - looking to holiday in Cornwall or Devon in the summer but have never been before.

Ideally want to be located close to a beach but within driving distance of larger towns to explore. Cycle paths and places to hire bikes would be great.

Any recommendations on where best to try and locate ourselves?

Look at the camel trail and Wadebridge if you like cycling.fab cycle path and cycle hire. You aren't far from Padstow and lovely beaches too.

Brilliant cycle trails around Lanhydrock house and in the woods nearby. we have been on them and the camel trail starting in Bodmin a couple of times. also if you are based in SE cornwall then there are some great trails in Devon starting in Plymouth and really easy to get to. when we stay in Cornwall we stay HERE they have a swimming pool and farm animals as well as outdoor play area and indoor one as well. We prefer this part of Cornwall because its less busy and the beaches and moors are beautiful.

Aim for somewhere near Babbacombe on the south Devon coast not too far from Exeter. Nearby Halton forest is renowned for cycling trails and you've got Babbacombe model village and the south Devon steam railway on your doorstep. Not far up the coast is Torquay which has a great aquarium and brilliant Victorian museum www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/bygones-victorian-museum

Brownscombe Luxury Glamping, Compton Pool Farm and Log Barn Luxury Holiday Cottages are all very family friendly in this area.

Mazzard farm in devon driving distance to couple of beaches and the owners are lovely people.
