Spa weekend + surfing?

Hi all!

We're due twins in April/May and already have a toddler. I would love to have one night away (PILs would have DS) before DTs arrive.

I'm thinking February, before I'm too big to do anything. Devon or Cornwall would be ideal. Looking for a nice, posh(ish) hotel with a spa for me, good food and a good beach for surfing for DH nearby. Something like this: www.stmoritzhotel.co.uk (already been there so looking for other options).

Watergate bay hotel is fab

The Scarlet Hotel. Overlooking Mawgan Porth beach which is gorgeous and good for surfing. It's about a 10 minute drive from Watergate Bay if your DH would prefer to surf there.

Polzeath is a lovely beach to surf from. big, wide and sandy and there are a couple of nice places for a coffee/food overlooking it.

surfsup surf school there is really good. but at this time of year the water will be cold and it could be pretty stormy so you might need a plan b on the surfing.

also remember that there wont be any lifeguard cover in February on beaches in cornwall which may affect where he goes and what he does.

talland bay hotel is a nice hotel though no spa as far as I know. you might be a bit limited for spas if you are that heavily pregnant as you wont be able to use the Jacuzzi, steam room etc.

I second watergate bay! One of my favourite places to surf and almost always got some sort of swell. And hotel is beautiful!
I miss Cornwall so much
