But I think the Devon ones are only bookable on a weekly basis. Try calling perhaps.

If it's nice weather/summertime Saunton Sands in North Devon, quick to get there from the M5 and it is the most beautiful safe long sandy beach. The tide goes out a long way but the water is shallow for ages so good for paddling. There is a lovely beach cafe and lots of places to stay near by and some nice pubs.

What about Bournemouth? Tons to do for little ones - Oceanarium, soft play, family pub, Harry Ramsdens, Bournemouth gardens, beach, pier, train along the prom. They're all walking distance from loads of hotels. Lots of the hotels have pools/saunas etc. Town centre shops also walking distance. Lots of other things nearby too - Poole quay, Farmer Palmers, Monkey World, New Forest.

thanks for these suggestions. db screwed up my car so they cannot go anywhere!!
