Celebrating my 40th next year and have persuaded grandparents to have DD for 3 nights, but can't decide where to go! Would like something a bit special as this is a rare event, but don't want to spend hours travelling which is putting me off a city break in Europe. Have also done the major UK cities several times. Any nice hotels or self catering places which are a bit special, or on the coast or the countryside? We live in West Yorks.
Thanks

Seaham hall? On the north east coast.

The pig on the beach in studland Dorset is meant to be amazing or Limewood hotel in new forest. Not sure on your budget though, they are quite pricey.

This is right in your doorstep! Weather not guaranteed. Northwest Scotland. The accommodation is amazing. No where near a city. A good hours drive to main super markets. There are shops in the local town, nice pubs and the Harris Gin Distillery. You won't regret it. If I could afford it I'd be down there in a flash! Luckily I don't live to far away so I can visit any time I want
