Center Parcs - half term

We're going to Centre Parcs (Woburn) in October half term. We haven't been able to book an executive lodge as it's full. We're in a regular lodge instead. Is there much of a difference? Will we need to take anything extra?

Wherever I stay, I take my own tea & coffee. Most hotels I've stayed in seem to have minimal tea bags & coffee. And usually a brand of tea I don't like!
Long life milk too. I do like a few cups of coffee when waking, and those little pots run out quick. An extension lead with four sockets comes in handy then charging mobile phones, an electric clock, and power lead for laptop.

We always stay in the regular lodges. The only difference is that you don't get an un suite bathroom or maid service in the Woodland lodges. You get towels, bedding, tea towels and toiletries (including a roll of toilet roll) all provided. You can also get wifi in all lodges now.

Brilliant. Thanks pinkchampagne. I did wonder and actually the maid service was completely rubbish when we stayed last time. There was a day when the maid squirted cif onto a baking tray and said "there you go, that will come up nicely later with a scrub and rinse".

Oh dear, they sound rather useless! We found they often turned up when we were just chilling around around breakfast time so they were more of a hassle. They don't really do that much either, do they?

The Woodland lodges are clean and modern and have everything we need. They have a bathoom and an additional toilet so we didn't miss having an un suite. We have just come back from staying in one at Eleveden and had a great time.

The only thing we found was for self-catering it was tricky. I'm not sure if this was just our lodge but we only had a bread knife. No other cutting implement. We had 2 teaspoons etc. The equipment was limited and as a family of 4 it wasn't easy.

I assume you know to take extra toilet rolls and the shops tend to be expensive so best do a food shop before you go.

We've been to Center Parcs a few times and I'm very familiar with the prices in the parc market. We're just there for a mid week break and we're going as a large group so we'll just do simple breakfast, lunches and eating out or dining in or Cook meals for s dinner. I didn't know we'd have to take extra loo roll - great tip - thanks!
