am going to stay at Highgate Hill end of Hampstead Heath

is it safe to run on the heath in the morning (say around 7-8am)

sorry but have no clue and don't want to be stabbed or left for dead. for all I know though it could be nice little old ladies out with their dogs

I used to walk from Swains Lane over Parliament Hill to South End Green (ie on a main path) at about 7.30 and never felt threatened.Always lots of dog walkers about.Don't know what it would feel like in the more wooded areas though.

Well, George Michael lurks in the bushes after dark, if you are interested in autograph hunting!

( at GM.. not Cappucino or anyone else...)

lived there years ago... for what it's worth south end green did always seem very safe... lots of other folk around too. best thing is to keep to path areas (gosh this sounds like red riding hood or something ) but guess that goes without saying

live down the road. god it's wonderful to run there. fine time of day. no issues bar usual urban out and about precautions.
