Renting a car and asking for a specific model

Hi,

I think I'm probably going to need to rent a car soon and I wondered if anyone had experience of how to get a particular model of car?

I only wonder because my eyes don't get on with LED lights and the only two models that I can find that aren't full of LEDs at the moment are the Ford Focus, the Vauxhall Corsa, and the Volksvagen Golf. I'd be looking for an automatic.

I was thinking that if I went to a place like Glasgow Airport or Glasgow Central station which have a fair number of car rental desks, and just asked on the day then I might get lucky, but I wondered if anyone might have experience and know if this is feasible?

Thanks!

Glasgow airport will have a bigger selection of cars to choose from than the city centre places.

Call them beforehand and ask if they have one of those models, can they try and keep it for you. They could even check their other branches (eg the city centre).

Golfs and Ford Focuses are usually not too difficult to get hold of.

Lovely, thanks for that. :-)
