My husband and I are expecting our first baby in June and we are hoping to go away for a long weekend in March. I'm thinking maybe the Lake District or Norfolk broads but any other suggestions welcome (other than Cornwall and Wales as we've been there a lot and Scotland as too far).
Also, when googling babymoonn U.K. - why are there so many babymoon ideas that are spa breaks when pregnancy means that I would be unable to use most of the facilities (saunas/steam rooms/jacuzzis/solariums etc?!)

I would wait until a week or so before and then see if you can pick up a bargain. you will also have a better idea of what the weather is like so can pick something suitable accordingly.

personally I would go for an adults only with pool and fab restaurant if I was in your position. somewhere to read a book, eat undisturbed and swim on your own will be bliss and very rare after your little one arrives. good luck with everything.
