Baby Monitor - Video + Sensor Mat... Suggestions??

Hi Gals (and guys?),

First time really posting on this site, I've come across it numerous times from Google, I'm not sure if there is a 'dadsnet' haha..

Anyway.. reason I'm posting.. my partner and I are expecting our baby in August (super excited!), we're starting to cost things out and get an idea in our heads of what kinda things we need so that when closer to the time we know what to expect and what to look for..

So I'm looking at baby monitors.. would like one that has the following:
Camera + Nightvision
Sensor Pad + Heartbeat detection
Room Temperature
Decent Battery Life on parent unit
Continuous Audio option
Night Light (controllable from parent unit)
Lullabies (controllable from parent unit)

I've found some that have some features but not others..

anyone got any recommendations that tick most of those boxes and that are a good monitor?

Ok so no one else has responded to you so I am going to bite the bullet and be blunt!

don't waste your money. seriously, this is gadget boy territory and bears no relation to what you will need once your baby arrives in august. there is no need for any of these things unless you have a baby with serious health concerns and you wont know what these are unless it happens which being honest is extremely unlikely.

babies need you - human contact - not gizmos. if you think that you are going to be able to deal with your baby night waking from a remote centre then you have a real shock coming your way.

all you need for a normal health baby is a room thermometer (they like to be a lot cooler than you think) and a sound on/sound off baby monitor. anything else for your healthy baby is a waste. good luck with everything.

Please don't get most of this the motion sensor mat.

You don't need any of that. Is this a stealth boast?

Spend the time being an actual hands-on parent as you're 'super excited'.
