My 9 year old has really enjoyed the museum of science and industry, the national football museum, the war museum, the CBBC tour at BBC Manchester, chill factore and bizarrely the cat cafe!

National Football Museum is great!

Mine loved the CBBC tour too, and MOSI. DS likes a trip to the Trafford Centre too. We go to the cinema, get some food. There's the aquarium and Legoland Discovery Centre there too. And I think high wires, but we've never tried that.

I think there was a fire at the cat cafe recently so check it's open if you're planning a trip based around a feline-related food experience Confused!

Yy to all above suggestions, the museums are great, including Manchester Museum up near the university, though our favourite is MOSI. Love the Imperial War Museum and the Lowry art gallery too, which is near BBC media city for the tours.

There are some fab cafes in the Northern Quarter and a new independent American style diner opened there recently, apparently the breakfasts are amazing there.
