SNOWDONIA WITH A 7 YEAR OLD BOY

HI, we're going to snowdonia middle of august for a week with our son. any tips on stuff to do? we will be near Betws-y-Coed

for Bounce below. Did you find it OK? I was thinking you might get lots of out of control adults bouncing into kids and being a nightmare?

Beaches at Llandanwg (near Harlech) and Borth y Gest (near Porthmadog) (park in the village and follow the path around the headland) are the hidden gems.
Ffestiniog Railway is the best of the small steam trains.

bounce below is fine lots of space so you can find a quiet spot

Forgot to mention- Dolwyddelan Castle- very close to Betws and just off the A470 south. Small but perfectly formed, nice walk up the hill and not a gift shop in sight.

There is s lovely lake walk around llyn Idwal. Park at Ogwen cottage on the A5 and follow the path that goes up behind the visitors centre / kiosk. You can just go round the lake or if you are feeling a bit more adventurous climb up the Devils kitchen at the back of the lake. It looks more difficult than it is. Another easy walk is to Aber falls waterfall. It is up near the A55. There is a car park through the village and you walk from there. It's not that far and when you get there kids love paddling in the river.
When we went to bounce below it was great. We went to their earliest slot which meant for the first half hour it was quiet before the people for the next time slot came in. Even then it wasn't too busy.

There is a little shop near the station complex which has giant bubbles.. Great fun and the bottles last ages! Alpine coffee shop is fab and on the station so can watch the trains. Lots of lovely local walks and waterfalls. seashell beach is fab for collecting shells ( not so great food and drinks wise)
