Chester Zoo

We have booked an over night stay in Chester later this month and I was wondering if we should plan to spend both days at the zoo? We are very happy to do that, will there be enough to take two days?
We have a 2yr old and 4 yr old. Will be arriving about 10am in the morning and then staying over night at a hotel near by.

Any tips on visiting Chester Zoo also appreciated.

We did it in one day and didnt see everything. One and a half would have been better really.

I've not been to the zoo but Chester itself is lovely. I'd do one day at the zoo then spend a bit of time by the river, Roman ruins. Maybe have a boat trip/ice cream & there is a nice children's playground at Grosvenor Park

I wouldn't spend two days there personally I think 1 full day is enough with a bit of planning! I'd go into the city the next day the park and the river are beautiful or try the ice cream farm! I live local and am a zoo member so if you have any questions just ask

With a 2 and a 4yr old I would say yes, there is enough to fill 2 days there. The signage is awful, get a copy of the map at the entrance.
