Has anyone gone on holiday via train? There's 6 of us and I'm worrying about getting our luggage and pushchair on the train. Originally my dad was going to give oh and 3 kids a lift there and back while I get the train with youngest Ds but he's unable to now.

We're going less than 2 hours away so it's not a long journey, train is direct which helps.

I'm just panicking as we go in 3 weeks

make sure that you have booked seats when you book your train. even if this ties you to certain times of trains they are worth their weight in gold when you have little ones. we regularly go on the train places and would say that you need to keep luggage to a minimum - 2 bags or suitcases or use smaller rucksacks that will go in the overhead. you will have a great time.

If there are 2 adults to carry stuff you'll be fine. Take stuff for the kids to do and book seats if you can but it's not that long a journey. I'm currently on a 4 1/2 hour train trip with a baby and I'm surviving so far.
