I'm looking to go away somewhere for a few days, preferably somewhere rural ish but still with things to do but needs to be as cheap as possible.
We have a toddler and a baby and live in Edinburgh, suggestions please?

Got an email from myhotelbreak.com. We are having two night in the barony castle hotel outside of Peebles. It's £69-50 per person. Two nights accommodation, breakfast and one night dinner.
Wee stayed there before and we paid more without food.

It is in its own grounds, has a swimming pool, check when it's going to be refurbished and we couldn't fault it.
Peebles is a lovely town.
Think offer is on till August

You can ring hotel and quote the £139 offer.

Oh I loved the barony castle, we were there a few years ago and much preferred it to Peebles hydro.

I loved the way it was all cosy. We were there early April and it just had such a lovely feel to it. Not all stiff and starched like some hotels are where you wouldn't want to sit in a public area.
That's what amazed me people were chillin out in the lounges.
I'm looking forward to it.
