We usually go to Sherwood Forest CP's - Will we disappointed if we go to Whinfell?

Usually do Sherwood Forest as 1 its near to us 20mins and 2 we like the pool, rapids, but after about 20 visits we would like to try one of the others.

Woburn sounds too unestablished and pool area is very tiny so giving that one a miss. Evedon hasnt got rapids.

So it's Whinfell or Longleat

I like whinfell because all the restaurants and shops are enclosed if the weather is naff.

It's the pool Im mainly interested in - DS age 10 loves the swimming, rapids and outdoor swimming at Sherwood, whats Whinfell like?

I think Sherwood is better, tbh. Didn't like pool at Whinfell. If you want different, the pool at Erperheide in Belgium is ace!

I don't mind the pool. It hasn't got those crazy Rapids that Sherwood has. Or is it Longleat?

Whinfell has a really good slide though.

Whinfell has rapids.

The waves are better at Whinfell, but the rapids aren't.
There's an area where a current swooshes you round an island.
There's a rough slide and a couple of tube type slides.

IMO the swimming pool and slides at Sherwood is much better overall, and has a better-kept air about it.
The outside pool at Whinfell is lovely and warm, but feels like it's due a refurbish.
If the pool is the main reason for going, go to Sherwood. The restaurants and shops are the same at both.

Just want to go somewhere different so will book Whinfell I think. Im sure we will have a great time

I certainly prefer Sherwood to Whinfell.

I prefer the pool at Whinfell if you have older DC's. Waves are much stronger.

Elveden has a lazy river and imo is much nicer than sherwood having been spruced up recently
The windfall one is miles away and other than being more 'woody' didn't seem worth effort... Also more tired accom
