Camber Sands building works?

We're thinking of booking a week's break in a cottage on Camber sands, but the local authority website suggests that there are some potentially major building works (on the sea defences) going on that might affect access to the beach. Can anyone who has holidayed there recently or who lives near there advise how badly this is affecting the use and enjoyment of the beach?

We were there a couple of weeks ago. The works are no problem they are not on the main beach but further along heading in the direction of Dungeness. We didn't notice them at all. Camber is lovely have a great time

Depends on where abouts your cottage is. As PP said it's on the road down to Lydd/Dungeness so if your cottage is there it would be a PITA - if it's in central Camber Sands then not a problem.

Thanks Autumn and Anyone - that's really helpful. The one we were looking at is on the corner where the Lydd road turns inland (near Jury's Gap) - is that far enough east to be a problem?
