Spa Break with 16 year olds

My DD will be 16 next year, just before her GCSEs. When asked what she wants to do to celebrate she said she would like to go to go on a spa break with close family and friends.

Am ideally looking for really nice hotel with good spa and pool. Preferably one with some kids facilities as will have younger DS also who will need some entertaining. However, am struggling to find any nice hotels with spas that will offer treatments to 16 year olds.

Any ideas or alternative suggestions?

Does your dd look young for her age? If not just say she is 18 they don't ask for proof of age.

dancing this happened to us. we were asked to bring along proof of age. to be honest, it became such a massive hassle to sort out that we ended up going to the spa at bath and just using the pools and having lunch etc. you will not find anywhere that offers proper spa treatments to under 18's. why not make a spa type package up for her with nail varnish and pedicure. alternatively you need to wait until she is over 18.

Yes have looked at hiring the small private pool at Bath Spa but looks like all you can do there is swim around a bit and not sure that will be what she is looking for. Not keen on lying about age as am sure to be found out!

Think she is more interested in the whole experience of using spa facilities eg pools, jacuzzi etc and would be happy with some mini treatments like a pedicure and manicure.

Nirvana Spa is my favourite and takes guests from the age of 16. however it is only a day spa with nearby hotels and has a maximum group size of 6.
Centre parcs have great spas and the minimum age there is 14. You can even stay in hotel style rooms which are linked to the spa. not cheap though!

I think its difficult TBH. I know most 16 year olds will be perfectly well behaved but some won't (and some spas are VERY stuffy about noise - my friends and I went to a centre parcs spa last year for a birthday and were told off for talking too much). The spas will also be concerned about liability re treatments. Adults can sign to waive liability.

Never thought about Center Parcs. That's a good idea. She is very sensible and grown up. More likely to be me thrown out for making a noise!

Nirvana Spa - I have been once . Lovely but not sure as no hotel attached. Think rather ruins weekend break experience if you have to get in car and drive after your relaxing day.

I've been to bluestone, calcot Manor and center parcs. Center parcs has by far the best spa of the three. You can just go for a day you don't need to stay there
