Will be there over the weekend. Been a while since last visit so wondering what's new to see/visit?

Also can anyone suggest a non-surfy North Devon beach?!

Thank you.

Hello! We were there a few weeks ago and it rained. So the one day we went bowling (better off booking) and we also went to the go- carting place. Both are very close to each other the Braunton side of Barnstaple. Haven't been to the Big Sheep for years (since Foot and Mouth) but I think it's good for younger children.
I can't think of a non- surfing beach though sorry!

Thanks Lolimax. Bowling will be good, DSs are 14 and 10 but we all loved the Big Sheep when they were younger!

If you don't mind travelling a bit there's a fab quad bike place just outside ilfracombe. Key pits. Not cheap £40 an hour each but mine had a blast and I drunk tea with the mil. Need to book. You can always go and see Verity afterwards. I couldn't decide if I liked her or not.

Verity?!

We went to this amazing archery place. Think it was called dragon archery. It was one of the best things I've done in a long time and great for all ages.

Dragon archery is amazing it's near holsworthy. Widemouth bay only gets gentle waves as a rule. Cycling/walking on the tarka trail we hired bikes in great Torrington

Verity is Damien Hurst's huge sculpture at the end of ilfracombe pier. Worth a look if you're around.

Thanks Loli - will def check her out! And the archery sounds good too. Debating whether to take our own bikes actually but weather not looking brilliant so not sure if worth the effort!

Oh and don't forget fish and chips in squires!

Well we had a great time! Didn't get to do all the things that were recommended though - loved Verity, had a sunny day on Tunnels Beaches which DSs loved and mooched around Lynton/Lynmouth one late afternoon/evening plus a lovely stroll down to the sea at Bucks Mills rounded off with a drink in the pub at Hartland Quay!
