I am travelling down from the north west on Monday. Never been to this end of the country. Travelling with two toddlers. Is there a route I need to avoid to be stuck in traffic for hours?

Keep an eye out on local travel for 'operation stack', and avoid if on, its caused a nightmare on the roads down that way. Other than that its a preety straight forward drive.
