We have booked a Park Resorts caravan holiday at their site in Kidwelly, Camarthenshire with DD(7) and DS(6mo) due to not feeling up to a european hol with the baby this year.

Tell me anything and everything that you like to do in this region! Please! I fear it will ever a rainy week and need options!

Hi :) it won't be that bad! There's loads to do, don't panic! Folly farm near Narbeth is a MUST. A great family day out. Tenby is lovely for when the sun comes out. If you come back up the Swansea valley Dan yr ogof show caves are lovely but not good if you don't like enclosed spaces. If the weather is awful the LC2 pool is Swansea has slides and all sorts. How's that for a start?

The Dinosaur Experience near Tenby is worth visiting if your dd likes physical stuff. Nothing really to do with dinosaurs but a huge outdoor activity thing with all sorts to try.

Def look at Folly Farm but it's not cheap and the rides are more ££ when you get in. Good for a rainy day though.

The Blue Lagoon at Bluestone in Narberth is great but again quite pricey.

These are all Pembrokeshire I realise but the same neck of the woods.

Pembroke castle is great.

Nice beaches imo are Penally as it is quite quiet and nice for paddling (park at the station and walk), Pendine is handy as you can park on the beach so all baby stuff to hand, Amroth is nice if you like a pebbly beach and we love Angle but would be a long drive from you I think.

I love this part of Wales.

If you book online up until the night before for folly I think you save a £ per person. Every little helps! (Or you can swap your tesco vouchers).

Granny lives near Llansteffan and we never have to venture very far with our now three year twins. Folly Farm is brill - much more than a farm and loads to do for your older one. Llansteffan beach is lovely. It has a tiny playground by it too and you can walk up to the castle. We're going to try out the Gwili Railway this summer. There's a pool in Carmarthen too. We often pop to Laugharne as have friends there but I probably wouldn't recommend for kids. Enjoy!

I'm going to write all of this down/look it all up.

Folly Farm is ace (and I think very good value for what's there ). The Blue Lagoon pool is good but very expensive, I would head for the lc in Swansea - it's bigger and cheaper but gets very busy on wet days. Opposite there is the Waterfront Museum - free entry and good events for children.
Manor House is another good zoo park. The national botanical gardens are also worth a look. There are nice beaches and other activities in Pembray and you only pay to park. The wetlands in Llanelli are good if ducks/geese/swans are your thing. Carew is a nice castle.
