Cornwall or Devon holidays next year!

Hi, just looking for some holiday ideas in these areas. We've never been before and want to do a 1-2 week holiday next May/June in term time whilst I'm on maternity leave. We will be a family of four then, my DH, me, our 4yo and our approx 9mo plus we would like to take our dog with us. Any ideas, recommendations, where is best to go so can explore but still be close to a beach? Thanks in advance for your help!

Look at Bosinver Farm . Very family friendly , close to
Heligan , Eden Project and short drive to sandy beaches.

Churchwood Valley, Wembury. A bit rustic it but love it. Very peaceful, beautiful setting, short walk to beach, 20mins from Plymouth, 20 mins from Dartmoor, close to A38 to get into Cornwall. Make sure you go for the Low Road though if you have a pushchair (there's some steep hills!!)

We stayed at Aller Farm in Devon two years ago. It was part of Featherdown Farms. They are now independent but still provide camping holidays.

It's a great location, nice walks, with an easy drive to a number of beaches (Lyme Regis, Beer and others) plus things to do if it rains. it was one of the best family holidays we have had. I think you might be able to take your dog, but you should check.

Hi. Don't know if you would consider a holiday park like Haven. We stayed at Devon Cliffs a few times when my DD was younger. Great onsite stuff to do for kids. Pool was great, and beach on the doorstep. Thete's a restaurant/ coffee shop on the beach as well.

Cornwall is such a long drive and it takes ages.

Devon is beautiful (like Cornwall) but far more to do in Dorset IMHO

Ladram bay holiday park at budleigh salterton in Devon was lovely. They have their own shingle beach with rockpools where you can hire kayaks and theres an indoor pool on site plus an arcade and theres a fair bit to do in the local area

when we go to Cornwall we stay in or around Looe. it is on the quieter south coast and is easier to get to down the M5/A38 than sitting on the A30 which can be a bit of car park. Wringworthy Holiday cottages is just outside Looe and it has a swimming pool , toy barn and animals like chickens, donkeys and ducks. when our kids were little they loved it here. I think they let you bring dogs but you would have to look at their website HERE We always find loads to do and the visitcornwall tourist board website is really useful at finding out whats on.
