Whinfell Centre Parcs - any tips?

Booked in for 4 nights. It's now 3 wks away & im trying to get my bearings. We are in a lakeside apartment & now having received the map/layout, I don't think we could have got much further away from the car park. How does the checking in work? Is it easier to park 1st, go to swimming pool & take the car up to unload later in the day?

Any other helpful tips/advice welcome.

Yes that will be the easiest way to do it. You can arrive earlier in the day and make the most of the village, then your lodge will be ready from 3.30 and you can drive your car up there to unload it before driving back to the car park.
