Polperro Cottages

We are looking to visit Polperro/Looe for our summer hols in July. We've never been to the area before but looking at lots of holiday cottages online. Can anyone recommend a good site? There will be DH, myself and DD who is 9. Also, is one area better than the other?

If you are looking for school summer hols then this is a very popular area - South East Cornwall. depends on whether you want a cottage or a group. we stay HERE which is just outside of Looe and there is a group of cottages with a swimming pool and animals. we prefer Looe as the parking in Polperro is a nightmare - you have to park at the top of the village and walk down there is no parking in the village itself. also the beach in Polperro is small. in any case if you do go for something not on a site then always ask about parking as it is at a premium in cornwall generally we have found.

Thanks very much. Most of the cottages in Polperro have a designated parking space in the main car park - just hope it's not as the crow flies! I will check out your link too.

The main car park is at the top of the hill outside the village. it is a bit of a trek. have a look at mr google and his maps to see what I mean. in some cases you cant even take your car in to drop off luggage and there is a bit of a trade in people offering pull along trolleys. becomes a pain when you want to go out for the day and need to schlepp to and from the car park. would pick Looe over polperro every time.
