Stratford Upon Avon

I will be visiting Stratford Upon Avon in a few weeks with my DH & DD (10), wondering what places anyone could recommend visiting, activities to try and good places to eat, especially for breakfast.
Were staying for 1 night at the Premier Inn by the canal.

I live near Stratford Upon Avon, it's a wonderful place. Picnics by the river, nice park with band stand. Sometimes there is a market by the river, not sure what days this is on though. You can do a brass rubbing, not for my DS, granted but I enjoyed it :)! Shakespeare's birth place, Anne Hathaways cottage, plenty of shops, some high street shops, some individual. Also there is the Butterfly Farm, never been but others speak highly of it.

My children like the premier inn breakfasts and kids are free with an adult breakfast.
I have stayed at that premier inn and it was fine, canal on one side but main road with variations large retail outlets on the other, not picturesque how I had imagined it. Have to pay for parking.

Warwick castle could be good for a visit?

Warning - it is small and NOT worth the £19 entrance fee.........but you CAN use Tesco Vouchers making it more of a proper price

My DS who would of been about 12 had a great time.

I haven't been - but it is on my list, but there is Hatton World not too far away

There is an amazing open all year Christmas shop opposite Shakespeare's house. The kids will love it!

My ds(8) loved MAD. We weren't impressed with Hatton World tbh.
