Can anyone recommend a hotel in Bournemouth - any to avoid?!

Thanks.

Plenty to avoid. Cavernous places built in the sixties which host coach parties through the winter!

Equally there are some very smart places (Mariott Highcliff, Sandbanks Hotel, Haven etc) reflecting Bournemouth/Pooles attraction as a conference centre.

What are you looking for? Plush or family friendly. Any particular part. Boscombe is more funky, Westbourne/Alum Chine smarter though with good provision for toddlers, Sandbanks flash. Beach, or walking in the Purbecks?

A favourite B&B is The Living Room in Alum Chine though if you are on a budget you might look at www.bournemouthbeaches.net/ who offer holiday lets, but with hotel level cleans, midweek linen change etc.

Thanks so much reply. Attending an event near east cliff. Adults only. Plush if poss :) but really won't be there that much.

We stayed at the Cumberland recently. It was very good. The upgrade to a sea view room was well worth it.

The Green House Hotel is nice. Might be pricey though.

If you're not fussed then there is a Travelodge nearby.
