Hello!

Just had a surprisingly good holiday at butlins. The kids loved it and if they are happy we are happy! I just wanted to know if anyone has any other holiday recommendations for those with kiddies under 5. Have also been to centreparcs but feel that is less suited to small ones.

Haven and British Holiday Parks are simelar (cheaper too) and Parkdean and Park Resorts; all have entertainment/arcades etc. Hoseasons brochure has alot of the parks in it.

Lots of park resorts fans on here, we have enjoyed them in the past, but butlins- well, if you like them they are the creme de la creme of that genre, iykwim? They take tents at the Minehead one now- do that as a variation LOL!

We've had lots of great holidays at Pontins. They cater well for DS2's wheat and dairy allergies, and the children love all the sports activities and party times. The Bluecoats really work their socks off to give the children a great time.

Went to Haven this summer, and were singularly unimpressed by the accomodation (in fact, so much so that they're giving us a free replacement holiday!), but the children liked the entertainments.

I'm having difficulty this year! We normally go Haven and they are fine but we wanted to go with someone different this time!

I did a google search for the area we want to go and found a few independant holiday parks so might be worth a try for you.

been to Haven and had an awful time due to lack of facilities open when needed and accomodation being altogether shabby!
Bulins, kids loved it.
We now always book through HOSEASONS. Managed to get some great deals through them and the sites they use are all family run types that offer loads of entertainment and their own brand of redcoats! Off to devon on saturday to a hoseasons site and cant wait, always have a great time there. Definately look through hoseasons.

I have a hoseasons brochure in front of me now, looks good!

Waterside caravan park in Weymouth, Dorset is excellent. beach 2 mins away (although it is stoney) Sandy Weymouth beach is a bus ride away or 15 mins stroll.(bus leaves from site) They have amusements nearby. Club house with kids entertainment on site as is swimming pools and a small soft play centre.
It is lovely and clean and very helpful staff.
