Hi - We fancy a week in Devon or Cornwall in mid July next year. It will be me, DH and DD age 12. We like cycling, beaches, nice food etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations rearding areas that might be good for us? Devon or Cornwall - which would suit us best?

Any help would be gratefully received!

we really prefer SE Cornwall to the North coast. its less touristy and some really lovely places to visit. if you stay in or around Looe then you have the beaches and fishing villages. bodmin moors about half an hour away. we have also cycled the camel trail starting at bodmin and ending in Padstow. when we were there last, they had opened up cycle trails at lanhydrock house national trust where you could also hire bikes. we have done day trips to Newquay, St Ives, Bude etc but just found them too busy for us. we usually stay HERE as there is a swimming pool and games room for the kids and its a small cottage site which we like. Plus if you stay in SE Cornwall you go on the A38 and avoid the A30 which is a car park in summer.

Thank you! That place looks brilliant - I have sent them an enquiry today!

Really appreciate your reply.
