my parents live in a place called Church Stretton. Church stretton .co.uk has rental cottages. the one we used to use has shut so I can't recommend a specific house but the area is FAB - streams to play in, hils to climb. The national trust do child based activities for a couple of pounds. Very near working victorian farm and open air museam at ironbridge. Its a sleepy step back in time really but very understated and beautiful - my children love it
