Hi, has anyone any experience in Jersey?
DS is going over there with a footy team, they have to buy their own meals at night so the boys wanted to know if there are any fast food places in St Helier, eg McDonald's, kebab joints etc or is it all posh, expensive places?

There's a Maccy Ds, various pizza places, big KFC next to the cinema, lots of 'normal' cafés. I don't remember any kebab places (wouldn't have been looking) but I expect there are.

Anything else he wants to know?

One thing that springs to mind if they'll be using cashing cards is that you get Jersey notes which are not legal tender outside the Channel Islands. So only draw what he expects to use, and ask for change in mainland notes and £1 coins when spending £20s.

Jersey isn't part of the EU, so if he's old enough, he can bring you duty frees.

He's 16, so best not risk that shame tho
