Haven - swimming pools?

Booked a caravan break for family to Haven Littlesea, Weymouth, a few months ago. We're off on Monday, but now I'm reading closer details, I'm worried about swimming pools. They say children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. DP and I have 3 children under 8. Does this mean we will not be able to use the pools, or that one of us can take one child at a time in while the other has to occupy the other two?! Seems utterly ridiculous for a family holiday park. We always take them swimming together, including to places with flume etc. Anyone got any experience with this at a Haven or advice?! Thanks x

1 adult can supervise 2 children under 8. So 2 can supervise 4. You will be fine. Enjoy.Smile

We went to a Haven sight and the DCs were 10, 4, 3 and 18 months and we were fine. Its two under 8 year olds per adult.

Ratio's are normally 1:1 for under 5's, 2:1 for under 8's.

So if you have a 2, 4 and 7, year old, you need 3 adults. 4, 6 and 7, you are OK with 2.

I had big problems when mine were 4 and 7, both very good swimmers but I wasn't allowed in the pool on my own with them.

That's most public pools, don't know if Haven is different.

ETA: according to this:

Haven just specify children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. As they've not specified a ration I'd take that to mean 1 adult can take as many under 8's as they want, which worries me slightly!

Thanks Micah, that's all I can find too! Kids are 2.5, 4.5 and 5.5, so would be 2 under 5s with one adult. But all the public pools near me have a 2:1 ratio so have always taken two younger ones on my own. Guess will have to wait and see! X

Most private pools don't follow ratios
