Butlins dining plans.....any good?

Hi, we are going to butlins in a week Monday to Friday......bought using sun vouchers so pretty good deal.

Just starting to write a shopping list and started wondered if the dining plans were any good?

There is me and im veggie, DH, and our 2 dd's who are 3 and 4....both eat really well and will try new things.

We've not been away before except to a caravan for 3 nights and I like the thought of getting up and going somewhere for a good old holiday brekkie before what is likely to be a busy day, then changing and going for dinner.....they've never done a buffet style so might be quite exciting! I also like the thought of less washing up!

But on the other hand....it's not cheap! Ideally I'd like to do it for 2 or 3 days but they don't seem to do that option....grrrr!

Any thoughts?

We had premier dining at Skegness and loved it. It was buffet style so you can have total choice. If you want to take a look at sample menus then you can download the Butlins app and then look in the relevant restaurants' sections. It is pretty accurate for the types of food available.

We also had premium and loved it. lots of choice so everyone ate what they wanted. I would definitely do it again.

Thanks for your replies. We went to minehead and did the premium dining and loved it too! Felt like a real holiday! And then we didn't buy lunch or coffees, ice cream etc.

hmm only just seem thread so abit late to comment for you but maybe useful for someone else. We had standard dining at skegness a couple of years ago and it was lovely. Had standard dining at minehead last year and it was awful, so disappointing after the previous year. In view of this we went self catering to butlins minehead this year and loved it so much better. Had breakfast in the apartment and then had dinner out most nights except one we had pizza and salad in chalet. We had dinner at the resort pub a couple of nights 'the sun and moon' and it works out about £9 a main meal and was so much more relaxed than the standard dining hall. Also there is a morrisons and a tesco about 5 min walk away, the morrisons has a cafe
