Hi this is my first post but had to share my experience as i think other families might benefit....
we are a family of 2 adults a 5yr old a 2 yr old and a baby 8 months i really struggled to find accomidation on a budget for 10 nights in newquay this summer we would usually hire a caravan but that was gonna be 1000 .anyway eventually found us a family room with a seaview full breakfast and in the centre of newquay for 700 quid honestly nothing was too much trouble the hotel owner insisted on doing all my kids washing for no cost "i know what its like with kids" when i mentioned at breakfast my baby was teething by the time we returned that afternoon she had fetched me some teething stuff from the chemist that worked for her kids!
the rooms were imaculate the bigger two had a room joined to ours so they couldnt get out but could get to us every room had a dvd player and a dvd library downstairs free internet and playstaion.they had extensive local knowledge and gave us free tickets for the local circus.most importantly of all as a large ang unintentionally noisy family we were not once made to feel like a nuisance which is rare!
anyway sorry to go on but the quies hotel mount wise newquay gets 10/10 from my clan hth someone else

That sounds bloody amazing to me! I would be pleased to stay there. Sounds like you had a great holiday.

On a recent visit myself to a hotel in Norwich, for a wedding reception and meal etc I asked for a baby changing room or where can I change my baby to be told 'we don't have anywhere to change a baby, but we do have this' and I was handed a change mat. I felt like changing ds on the reception desk!

I did think about complaining, but couldn't be bothered, seems odd to me that a hotel doesn't have baby changing facilities, not even a mat thing on the wall in the ladies (although this is no good for dads).
How do they expect to hold wedding receptions and presumably other family functions without them - totally weird to me.
