Kent?

We're looking for somewhere to visit just for one night over the Easter Holiday - I was thinking of Canterbury, but would like to give the children a run along a beach too. I know the Folkestone bit of Kent from years ago, but no idea about the east coast.

Any bits particularly nice, or to be avoided?

We'll probably book a travel lodge for the night.

Thank you!

If you're considering canterbury you have whitstable and herne bay which fall under the same district. Both are very nice. You also have margate, broadstairs, ramsgate around 30 mins away. Deal has a nice pier (excellent brekkie at the end). Broadstairs' beaches are lovely and sandy!

We've just booked a 3 night stay in a cottage in Whitstable for £320 (for 6) which I thought was very reasonable. Used Mulberry Cottages and the Guy was really helpful. We plan on visiting Margate, Joss Bay, and maybe even the white cliffs!
