we are looking to take the little uns to chester zoo for the weekend. After a few disastrous hotel stays I* am looking for somewher which is recommended as child friendly. It doesn't need to be chester as we are driving, anywhere in north/west will do. Baby listening would be a big plus so we can rekindle some romance whilst the kids are asleep! Thanks, Gem

What about the holiday inn or travel/premier inn chains, there are several of them around, both in Chester and just outside.

Hi gemmie, the Radisson in Liverpool is great and very friendly. Liverpool Museum is very good for children and a good contrast to the zoo! The Trip Advisor website is quite handy too - you say where you're going and can read reviews. Have a lovely time.
