Eastboure 2 nights half term, any family friendly 5 star hotels or BB's recommendations?

DH wants to take DS's to seaside for a couple of nights mid-week in Oct half term. Doesn't want to travel too far so I suggested Whitstable and he wants to go to Eastbourne.

Can anyone recommend a 5 star hotel or BB for 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 7) that are family friendly in Eastbourne?

The Grand, may already be full

The Cavendish is normally ok. Havn't stayed there for a while, but was always comfortable when I have in the past.
