Can now stay in Cornwall for another 4 days but our cottage is not available where can we stay, perhaps travel up to Devon, can you please recommend?

we have booked a cottage near St Ives/Padstowe area and DH now doesnt have to go back to work so we can stay another 3 nights/4 days. Cant have the cottage as its full.

We quite fancy travelling up to Devon but not sure where to stay can you please help us find somewhere - just us and DS age 8

What sort of thing do you like doing? There are some lovely places in Devon - I love Exmoor and the North Coast (and into somerset). Saunton/Croyde if you like surfy beaches. DHs family used to have their own holiday place so I don't know much about accommodation - latterly we'd stay at a nice hotel in Minehead (Northfield) because it has a small pool but also suited MIL.

But obviously there's also lots of nice places on the south coast and theres Dartmoor....

beach is fine but also other things to do perhaps we may be all beached out if weve just had a week...probably near a town or something for other places to visit - zoo, theme park, aquarium???

have a look at the tourist board website for cornwall and also
lastminute-cottages as they should both have some places on. you might struggle to only find half a week though and might have more luck with hotel or b and b.

Can thoroughly recommend some Cornwall hotels if you want to stay in Cornwall for a few more days?

If you would like to stay in North Cornwall, then have a look at the Watergate Bay Hotel or Bedruthan Hotel. Or possibly St Moritz Hotel near Rock. All lovely

Ring Sykes cottages and Cottages 4 U - they'll find you somewhere, though you may have to pay for a full week at this time of year.

look on ebay - seriously - there are holidays listed there - private lets that are probably available short notice - i saw some devon/cornwall borders (near bude i think)
