Ive never done it before, is it worth it? I got the 1st token and the brouchure yesterday and I'm a bit excited but my friend says she took her family and it cost her loads cos of these extras they add on?

We did it last year. There can be a few add-ons, but they're there in the small print. Look out for things like obligatory entertainment passes (we had no desire to play bingo or go to kids club so avoided parks with these) and service cgarges (most have them but some are per week and some per night etc). Also check out transport - we didn't drive so had to make sure to pick somewhere with reasonable buses/trains.

On the whole it was worth it. We had five days in a caravan on the Isle of Wight for half the price it would have cost otherwise.

I live in lincs and dont drive so its easier to go to skegness for us, 4 nights for 4 of us is going to cost £38.60 upfront, The service charge is pupn which i assume is caravan per night bit thats still less than £40 for the stay, I didnt see the word "obligotry" anywhere, I dont want to stay on the camp except at night so the passses would be no use to us, either way, after travel it shoudl still be less than £150 which I thinks amazing for 4 nights! Did you get your 1st choice and good dates?

I did it years ago, worked out more than £9.50 but was still cheap and we got upgraded for no extra cost on arrival!

We have been on a few now. Even the daily mail ones.

They are good especially during the summer.

We didn't pay for the entertainment passes, we never use them.

Haven have good parks, as do I think park resorts.

We stayed in a rubbish place in south Devon though. Look on trip advisor to see which ones you like.

We were looking to go away anyway this year, haven't done so for ages and this just caught my eye in Tesco yesterday, I really hope I get my first or second choice, also spending money wont be too much for 4 nights :D

We go quite often, there are great parks and awful ones. I think we were lucky the first few times we went and never thought to read reviews- a mistake we'd not make again!
But yes they can be a bargain. You just phone and ask them to take off the entertainment passes.

Once I get confimation of where I'll definately call them becasue theres some things I want as an add on like bedding! As long as the accomadation is clean and livable I wont grumble! :D

We have been on 2 of these holidays. First time it cost about £120 and the second time a bit more, probably more like £150 - I can't exactly remember. But we paid to go in a de-luxe caravan, had the entertainment passes (you can't usually get into the pool on the Haven type sites without one) and had their bed linen. I go with my mum, who is 77, and she likes heating in case it's cold and doesn't want to make beds up. If it was just us, I would be happy to have basic accommodation. I can only go in school holidays so pay a bit extra for those weeks, but it's still a bargain.

Both places, one Haven and one Park Resorts, have been fine.
