Centre Parcs

Have booked Centre Parcs for in a couple of weeks time and for a change we're aiming to get there early to make the most of that first day. It says on their website you can use the swimming pool from 2pm. Anyone know if this is just a ploy to get you to book other activities (so you spend more money) and do they enforce the rule strictly? Had every intention of rocking up and going straight to the pool for a few hours.

Having been there last year I can't see how they would enforce that to be honest. We loved it last year and would go again.

I have been there loads and we have never been in the pool early.

I have always wondered how they would enforce this as if you're checking out on the same day you can stay and use the pool so how do they know who's who?

You can't get to your villa early though, at least we never have as they are always being cleaned when we get there.

In the dutch cp you need a pass to get through gates of pool.

We've been to CP early and used the pool before being given our accommodation. we just left the luggage in the car.

I don't really understand your question though, do you mean you want to use the pool from 2pm? Or earlier?

onadifferentplanet · 26/07/2012 08:44

I always thought that it was because they closed the pool for a while on changeover mornings for thorough cleaning ?

ItsMeYourCathy · 26/07/2012 08:47

I went to CP longleat in June and it's fine to use the pool etc. have a day bag in the car and just grab it when you've parked. You can't park your car outside your villa until after two and it does get a bit manic. I'd advise getting there early anyway as the queue to get into the resort is looooooong

Thanks all. Had thought it would be impossible to enforce but haven't been for a couple of year's so wondered if anything had changed. Yes Belgo, hoping to get there mid-morning and use the pool before getting access to our villa.

We live less than an hour from Sherwood. Always get there around 10.30am, leave luggage in the car and go straight to pool. Never been questioned. It is however extra busy on the arrival morning because clearly everyone else does it too!
