Liverpool/Merseyside with dds 7 & 11. Things to do during half-term?

Visiting Merseyside with daughters aged 11 and 7 during half term week. Has anyone any suggestions of days out we can go to?

World Museum - aquarium, insects, free planetarium
Museum of Liverpool
Maritime Museum (Includes International Slavery Museum)

All of these will have extra free kids' activities on for half term.

If you want to get out of Liverpool, Chester Zoo, Chester, West Kirby or New Brighton for the beach.

Albert Dock and its museums. There's a big wheel there too. You could also maybe do the Liverpool Duck Tour?

Liverpool One for shopping, also cinema/eating

Chester is a 45 minute train journey, and has loads on at half term www.chester.com/whatson/june/. The zoo is expensive, but excellent.
