Anyone able to compare sherwood center parcs to elveden? Or just tell us about elveden!

Planning our next cp break. We love sherwood, and found longleat too hilly and spread out for our party's mobility needs. Has anyone done sherwood and elveden to give us some comparison? Thanks!

Hi, haven't done sherwood but have done elveden and longleat several times. Elveden is very flat and almost all the amenities are in the same place ie: pool, sports bar, sports hall, time out club, restaurants etc. Only the acqua sauna and country club are at the other end of the parc.

The rapids and flumes at elveden aren't quite as exciting as the longleat ones but still good. There isn't a strada at elveden either, there is a bella pasta instead. Hope that's useful info. Happy to answer any specific queries!

We've been to elveden and longleat, and we prefer elveden. We found elveden to be better for small children, at longleat there weren't many playgrounds suitable for pre-schoolers.
Also elveden is much more compact - we stayed in one of the villas further out, and we still managed to walk to the centre in less than 20 mins.

Really helpful, thanks! Compact suits us-embarrassingly non walky cycling types for center parcs visitors Blush. Will look into eleven-longleat far too spread out and hilly for us and although we love sherwood we might have to consider driving distances for my agony parents.

Never been to Sherwood, much preferred Ev. To Longleate with small DDs.
L is very steep, not good safe cycling for DD1 and very hard work for DH with DD2 in a bike seat.

Elveden is nice and flat so great for cycling. Nottingham isn't massively hilly but definitely harder work by bike! Elveden swimming pool is nicer IMO BUT I think the little man made beach at Nottingham is lovely and we spent a lot of time there. Also felt that the play parks were nicer at nottingham.

My biggest gripe at nottingham is I couldn't get my bearings and was always lost!

If you are lIkely to use the spa I though Nottinghams was slightly nicer.

Thanks! And I meant ageing not agony Blush (although occasionally...). We love the beach at sherwood too.

Longleat is really hilly and quite spread out so I'd go somewhere else if your kids are little.
