UK or France?

I have been thinking where to go for summer holiday with kids in August - UK or France. in Cornwall or Middle France or North France? I would like to spend more time on beach with kids. Maybe the weather is more promising in France than UK...I consider Hoseasas or Kemp...?

Any suggestions?

If you want guaranteed sunshine and beach weather than really you're talking quite a long way south in France.

Who knows, you could strike lucky and have fantastic weather in Cornwall or northern France... But there's always the risk you won't. Depends how set on a beach holiday you are really. Cornwall is great, and there would be plenty to do if the weathers not good (ditto some parts of northern France) but for guaranteed wall to wall sunshine it's got to be central or southern France

we went to cornwall for years, I love it. My favourite place in the world. A few years ago I finally got tired of wearing my big winter coat on the beach. Now we always go to Cornwall for spring bank and France for our main holiday. We have tried Brittany, very similar to Cornwall. Loire Valley a few times the weather always hot and sunny. The Dordoigne very hot and sunny. The vendee it was a heat wave when we were there 5 years ago, we are back this year. Brittany very similar to cornwall. Personally, I think you cant beat cornwall, but if you want the weather France. I dont think nothing is as scenic as Cornwall though. I could live there !
