I'm just booking a surprise couple of nights in Edinburgh for my DH's birthday, but we will be there just before the marathon (we'll be heading back on the Saturday, the day before the marathon). Will it be busier than usual and will everything be geared towards getting ready for the marathon? I know it's busy in Edinburgh at the best of times, but just wondering if it will be mayhem at that time.
