hi, we are planning a weekend trip to London, me, dh, ds 8 and dd 4. I esp want to take ds to the british museum as he is a big history geek fan!
So, have found a travelodge room for £50! not sure what to do re getting
there though...train is uber expensive and dh happy to drive (we are in yorkshire) can park at hotel for £18 for 24 hours, but does that mean we have to pay the congestion charge (is covent garden) and if so how mcuh/when/how do you pay? also where else other than the museum would you recommend to take the kids?

thanks

The congestion charge is not payable on Saturdays and Sundays.

There is no congestion charge at the weekend- details here if you are driving on a Friday.
