Any suggestions for a nice meal - not a chain and not too expensive in city centre or dock area please? Going this weekend. Wanted a bit of a bistro y type place but any suggestions welcome.

Hi. Salt house tapas in Liverpool 1 is really nice. Or gusto in the Albert dock. Most of the restaurants in liverpool 1 are chains. There are some good ones in Hope Street - 60 Hope Street is really nice, it can be a bit expensive though.

Gusto on the docks is nice, or was a few years ago when we were last in Liverpool, anyway.

I think Host on Hope Street is my favourite place at the moment. They do pan-Asian food.
